A big-city option and a small-town option, in the same state.

Georgia gives you range. Metro Atlanta has a huge mix of colleges, universities and English programs, plus one of the busiest airports in the world, with direct connections to many international cities. Outside Atlanta, college towns offer a calmer pace and lower rent. For many students, that balance is the whole point.

Cities where students study

Atlanta metro
The center of it all: universities, colleges, English programs and a large job market in logistics, health, film and technology. The northwest suburbs, around Marietta and Smyrna, have a well-known Brazilian community with churches, markets and services in Portuguese.
Athens
A classic college town about 70 miles east of Atlanta, with a strong student culture and a lower cost of living than the city.
Savannah
A historic coastal city known for art and design programs, tourism and a busy port.
Augusta, Macon and Columbus
Mid-size cities with regional colleges and universities, health care jobs and affordable housing.
Rome
Our home. A small city in Northwest Georgia with colleges nearby and easy access to Atlanta and Chattanooga.

Program types

Program types in our network may include English (ESL), associate degrees, bachelor's and master's programs, and hybrid options with required on-campus hours.

Cost of living

Georgia is often more affordable than the Northeast or South Florida, especially outside metro Atlanta. Rent in Atlanta's popular neighborhoods can be high, while smaller cities like Rome, Macon or Augusta usually cost less. In most places outside downtown Atlanta, you'll want a car. Costs change every year, so we compare real numbers for your city in your consultation.

Climate and daily life

Hot, humid summers and mild winters, with occasional cold snaps. Life is spread out, so plan for transportation. Many students like the Southern pace: friendly, less rushed, with lots of green space.

A local team, not a call center.

We live here. We know the difference between studying in Atlanta and in a smaller city, and we'll tell you honestly which fits your budget. If you're already in Georgia and need to transfer or fix your status, we move fast. In-person meetings in Rome may be possible by appointment.

Is Atlanta a good city for international students?

Yes, for many students. It has lots of programs, a big airport and diverse communities. It's also more expensive than smaller Georgia cities, so compare both.

Can I study in Georgia without a car?

In parts of central Atlanta you can use MARTA, the city's transit system. In most other places, a car makes life much easier.

Are there Brazilian communities in Georgia?

Yes, especially in the northwest Atlanta suburbs, around Marietta.
